LESLIE MULLINS (SHE/HER)
STAFF ATTORNEY
Leslie Mullins joined DC Affordable Law Firm in August 2021 and represents clients in family law and probate matters. A native of the Midwest, Leslie has called the DC metro area home for the past 20 years. She earned her B.S. in Business and an MBA, both from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She attended law school at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC Law) in the evening division, while working as a self-employed health care consultant. She graduated from magna cum laude from UDC Law in May 2021.
During law school, Leslie worked in UDC’s Community Development Law Clinic and UDC’s Legislation Clinic, providing free legal services to low-income DC residents. She did community service for Veteran’s First and completed an internship with the Equitable Housing Institute. She served on the UDC Law Review two years, first as an Associate Editor and then as Managing Editor, and was a student representative for UDC Law’s Curriculum and Academic Standards committees.
Prior to law school, Leslie’s health care work included developing programs to serve vulnerable beneficiaries, including those who are severely mentally ill, impoverished, or chronically ill. This work inspired her to pursue a law degree and a second career in legal advocacy for vulnerable groups and persons.
