JOSEPH ARDITO (HE/HIM)

STAFF ATTORNEY

Joseph returned to DC Affordable Law Firm as a Staff Attorney in the Estate Planning and Probate Practice Group in early 2025. He previously served as a fellow at DCALF (2016-2017), representing DC residents in complex family law litigation. Now, Joseph focuses on helping individuals navigate estate planning and probate matters, continuing his commitment to public interest and DCALF’s mission of providing accessible legal services to the DC community.

Joseph earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2016. During law school, he was part of the Community Justice Project Clinic, working with marginalized communities, including transgender immigrants seeking name changes and healthcare access. He also interned at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, where he drafted proposed updates to the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).

After his fellowship at DCALF, Joseph worked as an Employment Associate at DLA Piper, gaining experience in labor and employment law, and then clerked for the Honorable Rupa Ranga and the Honorable Adrienne Noti, Associate Judges of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Joseph earned a B.A. in Psychology, with an emphasis in Political Science, from The George Washington University. Before attending law school, Joseph served as the Human Resources Director at a large nonprofit in northern Colorado.

Joseph is passionate about expanding access to legal services for underserved communities and is excited to return to DCALF to further his work in estate planning and probate law.
